8 Bit Awesomeness

I'm an 8 Bit RPG lover from way back (To this day I can discuss the plots and character arcs of the first 7 Final Fantasy games in excruciating detail.)

Combine that with Joss Whedon's Dr. Horrible...

It makes me glad to be human.

The Best of Chat Roulette

my buddy Squirrel just shared this with me. AWESOME.

Why is it whenever i go on chat roulette all i ever get is drunken frat boys and over-weight middle aged str8 dudes with their wangs out?

"Maybe in a crazy town like this..."

I found this over at the Almanac.

I discovered MC Paul Barman shortly after i was diagnosed HIV+, and i'm effing glad i did. His wordy/nerdy/hilarious lyrics kept me smiling in a time where smiles where few and far between. This track has always been one of my favorites; a great piece of Beat poetry in homage to our little slice of the Empire. Get into it.

I Have No Secrets

Its been a long time since I put LA behind me, and with it any hope i had of ever being an actor. Until a few months ago when I was invited to audition for a movie being directed by Travis Mathews called 'I Want Your Love'. (If you've never heard of Travis you are missing out, he has directed a series of very sexy and intimate shorts for Butt Magazine called 'In Their Rooms') Well i auditioned, and was cast, and shot my scenes... It was crazy awesome.

And now my face is on the Butt Blog (where i am compared to Rock Hudson!)

They fail to mention that the picture they chose (off of my FB?) is a Jody Jock original. Other then that... ROCK HUDSON?!?! I'm going to be smiling for weeks.

Where I'll Be Drinking

Pay attention kids, there is a lot going on this week and my roommates are cooking what smells like a ridiculously awesome breakfast. I'm not going to have time to repeat myself, so you had better get a pen and papper.

Go on, I'll wait.

Excellent!

Monday night (tonight!) brings the return of Stanley Frank's awesome weekly, Viennetta, to Underground SF. Viennetta has great music, $3 whiskeys, and cute effing boys. Get into it.

For all of us literary homosexuals, BJ Dini and co. have put together a book club who's first meeting will be tomorrow (Tuesday) at MCVF. The book is Our Lady of The Flowers (which i haven't read, but i'm going to the book club anyway. try and stop me.) one of the most erotic books ever written.

Wednesday i'm proud to announce the premire of OH! A monthly party for the dirty gentleman. Brought to you by the Bright Young Gentleman's Adventuring Society, the second Wednesday of every month at the Power House. There will be drink specials, dirty beats, and go go boys of questionable morality. I couldn't be more effing excited.

SOME THING is on Friday night at the Stud, and if you haven't been to the weekly yet you are seriously missing out. VivvyAnne ForeverMore and her crew BRING IT every week. There seriously isn't better drag happening anywhere in the city. It is quickly becoming the place to meet up with your friends and see an amazing show, every effing week.

I'm off to stuff my face.

Queer: Theory

Last night i saw 'DON'T FEEL: The Death of Dahmer' at MCVF.

I'm sitting here looking at a blank screen because i don't even know what to say.

It was an hour of some of the most brutal and gut wrenching performance i've ever seen in San Francisco.

Evan Johnson is terrifyingly transcendent as Jeffery Dahmer. He builds this frightening, manic, self destructive energy and maintains it through the whole show. He so embodied the subject that he made me seriously uncomfortable, (and Evan is a friend of mine).

Fuck.

Go see it, this is the last weekend.

Life in Cloud City

Here is one more good reason to avoid The Beast Bay.

Those of you freaking out regarding the possible year long closure of Dolores Park, please chill out. It ain't gonna happen (largely because Bevan Dufty wants to be Mayor so bad.), but if you want to vent there will be a public meeting next week.

And speaking of our next mayor, his vote is crucial in deciding whether or not not to rob property owners of their rights.

Analog tweets are the MUNI art of the moment.

And speaking of MUNI, apereantly our (much needed) Central Line might not be the sure thing that it was last week.

Hey everybody! Look at Kirsten!

Music in the Morning

My roommate/best homie Kevin is a total morning person. Me? Not so much (as i'm sure any of my long suffering exboyfriends would only be too happy to attest).

But this morning in the shower, in the middle of cursing every clock that ever existed for not starting at noon, i realized how unpleasant my precoffee mentality is for everyone i love.

So, loofah in hand, i made the conscious decision to be in a really good mood by the time i got to the kitchen... and i totaly almost succeeded.

And as a reward Kevin shared this awesome little gem with me...

Thank you Kevin!!! i'm already completely obsessed.

Post VD Wrap up

I just found this great video of Justin Bond from the the Valentine's show...
