Morning Cartoons

Prop 8:

Between 30% and 40% of the $25.5 million in donations raised as of last week by the "Yes(on 8)" campaign has come from the Utah-based Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, supporters of the measure say.

Mormon's believe hot man on man action is evil. Ever wonder what else they believe?...

along the lines of yesterday's cartoon. I've really been thinking about the lack of great leaders for my generation. Where are our Milks? Our Lennons? I know a bunch of you are going to say Hopey McChange-a-lot but I just don't think so.

Bah. Ignore me. Enjoy your cartoon.

Unintended Consequences: It's The Law!

Since Rep. Michele Bachmann accused Sen. Obama of being a traitor to his nation and asked Chris Mathews to embark on a McCarthyist witch hunt on Hardball Friday, her Democratic opponent has raised around $650,000 in online contributions.

Looks like you've got your hands full at home Michele, the "leftists" will have to wait.

The People Who Run Our Country

The brittle lunatic oozing talking points and self-righteousness is Michele Bachmann, Congressperson representing Minnesota's 6th District.

Fuck. The 6th isn't the wilderness either, it's right outside St. Paul. I can't help but love Chris Mathews in moments like these, he is a ninja of punditry

The War at Home and Beyond

The internets are abuzz this morning with news about same sex marriage, though not all of it is good.

To begin with Portugal's Socialist led Parliament has rejected an call from two opposition parties (the Greens and the Left Bloc) to legalize same sex marriage.

Here in the Golden State a new poll is showing a shift in favor of taking away same sex couples right to marry.

It could have something to do with this new add by the 'yes on 8' people...

...because everyone knows you can catch gay from a kids book. (sigh)

But there is some good news, the Supreme Court of Connecticut today ruled that the state's same-sex civil union laws are discriminatory and that gay and lesbian couples now have the right to marry in that state. That's right team, we are full fledged human beings in THREE states of the Union. Yay?

Jonathan Rosenberg's
